About Down There Skincare

Down There Skincare® was created in 2016 out of something deeply personal. My own years of struggle, research, and determination to finally feel comfortable in my own body.

For as far back as I can remember, I've always had issues "down there." I grew up in a time when very few people talked openly about intimate concerns. If you did, you risked being teased, labeled, or dismissed. It was considered a taboo subject, and I didn't feel safe or confident enough to speak up.

It took years before I finally learned that I have sensitive skin. I talked to my gynecologist, tried the products he recommended, and picked up countless items from the store shelves. Either they didn't work, or they made things worse. We were both puzzled, and over time I started to lose hope that I would ever feel truly comfortable.

In 2011, I began creating skincare products. I honestly thought this would be the answer to all of my "down there" problems. While things did improve, the irritation and discomfort never fully went away. I knew there had to be a better solution that truly respected how delicate and unique this area of the body is.

In 2014, I made a decision: I would learn how to create my own intimate care and personal hygiene products from the ground up. I spent late nights reading, researching ingredients, and taking notes like a determined formulator. Little by little, I began to design a formula that I believed could finally support my sensitive skin.

The very first product I created was a soap. When I tried it, something changed. My skin felt calm, comfortable, and cared for in a way it hadn't in years. I used that soap every day for nine months. Then I stopped on purpose, just to see what would happen. I went another nine months with no irritation. That's when I knew I had found something that truly worked for me.

From there, Down There Skincare® began to grow. Over time, I added more products to support everyday rituals: cleansing, refreshing, soothing, and protecting the intimate area with intention.

Today, Down There Skincare® is more than a product line. It's the result of years of quiet struggle, research, formulating, and listening to my body and to the women who trust me with theirs.

If you are a woman navigating intimate health changes after 40 and you have been dismissed, ignored, or left to figure it out completely on your own, I created this for you.

It was created for women who feel like their concerns are "too small" to mention, "too personal" to bring up, or "too embarrassing" to ask about.

If you've ever felt alone, confused, or discouraged about your intimate care, please know this: I created these products because I was once in that place too. My hope is that Down There Skincare® helps you feel seen, supported, and more at home in your own body.
