Our Story

Down There Skincare® was created in 2016 by Elisa aka Beauty Mixtress™. The owner of Beauty Mixtress, LLC.

For as far back as I can think, I've always had issues down there. I come from an era where many didn't speak about issues down there. If you did, you were mocked as being dirty, have and STD, etc. It was a taboo subject that I didn't have the courage to say something.

It took years before I figured out that I have sensitive skin. I spoke with my Gynecologist and everything he recommended I to purchase from the store either didn't work or made the issue worse. He was just as puzzled as I was. I lost all hope.

When I began creating skincare products in 2011, I thought I would kiss all of my down there problems good-bye, but that didn't happen. Although things were better, they were still there and caused irritation from time to time. In 2014, I began researching how to create my own intimate care/personal hygiene products. Thankfully the internet was full of information that I would read about ingredients well into the night. Writing notes like a mad scientist until I decided on what I would use and create a formula.

The very first product I created was a soap. Once I tried it, I was hooked. I vowed to never use another soap down there again (that was a lie). I was so hooked that I used the soap everyday for 9 months, then I stopped. Why?, because I had know irritations and wanted to see how long I could go without an irritation. Well I went a whole 9 months with no irritation! I knew I had a winner then.

It's been all up from there. There are a total of 6 Down There Skincare® now and more to come.
